What is Single Touch Payroll?
STP is a reporting change that enables employers to send tax and super information to the ATO from their payroll software every time they pay their employees.
Who does it apply to?
ANY business that pays salary or wages to employees, that includes remuneration to directors.
When to start?
If you have counted 19 or less employees on 1st April 2018, you need to start reporting to the ATO through STP enabled software from 1st July 19.
